As summer heats up, be sure to check out the Meadowbrook Park FootGolf course, located at 1300 E. Dugan Street off East Abram Street in Arlington.

FootGolf is a combination of soccer and golf, but instead of clubs and golf balls, players kick a soccer ball into a 21-inch diameter cup.

FootGolf is played throughout the world, and there are roughly 180 courses across the United States.

Meadowbrook FootGolf course, the second course in DFW, opened in 2014. While most FootGolf venues are strictly par-3 courses, Meadowbrook Park has par of 70, with a mix of shorter and longer holes.

The game is perfect for all ages, families or those with a more competitive side!

'Footgolf is a fun and energetic sport for participants of all ages,' Michael Berneburg, head golf professional at Meadowbrook Park Golf Course, said. 'It is a great family activity allowing everyone to compete regardless of age or experience.'

The Meadowbrook Park Golf Course offers FootGolf and traditional tee times simultaneously seven days a week. For more information call Meadowbrook Park Pro Shop at 817-275-0221.
