Editor's Note: The planned closure of New York Avenue between the SH 360 frontage roads this Saturday as part of the Drive 360 South project has been canceled.

Construction work on the SH 360 South project could affect some drivers in South Arlington on Saturday.

New York Avenue will be closed between the SH 360 frontage roads on Saturday, December 2 from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. as crews pour the last part of the SH 360 main lane concrete bridge deck in that section. Drivers should expect delays in this area and are advised to follow detour routes.

Construction on the $340 million SH 360 South design-build project is on track for completion next spring. The SH 360 South Project is being built in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) and the North Central Texas Council of Governments and local cities and counties to improve mobility, enhance safety and connect communities.

Once complete, the toll road will be operated by NTTA.The 9.7-mile project, which began in fall 2015, stretches from Green Oaks Boulevard in Arlington to US 287.The project will improve mobility throughout the rapidly developing corridor in addition to improving traffic flow for local businesses and residents along the SH 360 frontage roads.
