Arlington Ranked No. 4

From affordable homes to quality schools, Arlington offers plentiful opportunities and amenities that make our community an ideal place to live, work, play and learn.

A new survey by SmartAssets.com agrees, naming The American Dream City as one of its 10 "Best Cities to Raise a Family." Arlington ranked No. 4 on the online survey, which looked at high school graduation rates, unemployment rate, housing and childcare costs and other factors.

Parents want to give their children the best chance to succeed so "school quality is on many parents' minds when it comes to deciding where to live," the site states.

"Arlington has quite a bit going for it when it comes to raising family," said SmartAssets.com, pointing to stats such as the city's 4.3 percent unemployment rate and high scores in students' rate of proficiency in math and reading.

Arlington wasn't the only Texas city to make the list. Fort Worth ranked No. 3, followed by El Paso at No. 8. Corpus Christi and El Paso tied for spot No. 9.
