The Eunice Craft Club recently donated more than 40 handmade toys to the Arlington Police Department.

Thanks to the kindness of local crafters, Arlington police have dozens of new handmade stuffed animals to provide comfort to children suffering from a traumatic event.

Earlier this week, members of the Eunice Craft Club gifted more than 40 smiling teddy bears and colorful octopus plush toys to the Arlington Police Department. Officers keep these comforting toys on hand in their patrol cars to give children something to hold onto when they are scared.

The City of Arlington, which launched a Kindness Initiative last year, applauds the Eunice Craft Group and other volunteers who selflessly give to make The American Dream City a kinder place to live, work, play and learn.

People are encouraged to report acts of kindness that they perform, witness or were the recipient of through the City's Ask Arlington mobile app, on the Acts of Kindness website, or by posting on social media using #ArlingtonKindness and @CityofArlington.
