Orioles vs. Rangers 4-Game Series

The Texas Rangers return home to The American Dream City after a west coast trip that saw the team travel to Anaheim and Seattle. The AL West defending champions will send Cole Hamels to the mound on Thursday to start a four-game set against the Baltimore Orioles at Globe Life Park in Arlington. On Thursday, the first 10,000 fans will receive a Throwback Thursday Collector Pin and on Friday the first 15,000 fans will receive an AL West Champs flag. Then on Saturday, the Rangers will be handing out adult pullovers to the first 15,000 fans ages 14 and older. Delino DeShields socks will be given to the first 7,500 fans ages 13 and under on Sunday.

Theatre Arlington Presents The Mystery of Irma Vep: A Penny Dreadful

Local legends B.J. Cleveland and Todd Hart return to Theatre Arlington to co-star in The Mystery of Irma Vep: A Penny Dreadful, a hilarious spoof of Gothic melodramas. A sympathetic werewolf, a vampire and an Egyptian princess are brought to life when her tomb is opened, making this quick-change marathon, in which two actors play all the roles, a dizzying display of dramatic virtuosity. Tickets are available on Theatre Arlington's website. Performances are Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday & Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and a Sunday matinee takes place at 2:00 p.m.

Texas Super Glow II at AT&T Stadium

On Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 7-9 p.m., approximately 30 giant hot air balloons will inflate and tether on the floor of AT&T Stadium in Arlington. This year's edition is open to the general public, who will be allowed on the playing field with the balloons, enjoy self-guided tours of the player's locker rooms, the stadium post-game interview room, cheerleaders facilities and other behind-the-scenes areas of the arena. Parking is free and guests are asked to park in Lots 6 and 7. Only entrance F will be open for this event.Tickets will be available online through Friday, April 15th, with a limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Symphony Arlington Presents: Delmar Pettys

This season, Symphony Arlington continues to explore masterpieces inspired by visions of riches. On Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Arlington Music Hall, Delmar Pettys, Symphony Arlington's 24-karat Concertmaster, will play the much loved Violin Concerto by Felix Mendelssohn. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this performance, as well as the Thursday, May 12 concert featuring pianist Stephen Beus can be purchased by visiting the Symphony's website. Arlington Music Hall is located in Downtown at 224 N. Center St.

AISD Youth Art Month at Arlington Museum of Art

The subject of a recent episode of Culture Buzz, Arlington ISD Youth Art Month is now on display at the Arlington Museum of Art in Downtown! Each spring, the Arlington Museum of Art works collaboratively with the Arlington Independent School District to give students the opportunity to display their pieces done in a wide variety of mediums to the general public. An opening reception is held during each two-week show to provide an opportunity for family and friends to attend and celebrate their student's artistic achievements.

Astronaut at UTA Planetarium

See what it takes to become an Astronaut and the effect space has on the human body this Sunday, April 17 at UTA Planetarium! Narrated by Ewan McGregor, experience a rocket launch from inside the body of an astronaut, explore the amazing worlds of inner and outer space, and discover the perils that lurk in space. This family-friendly show starts at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. For more information on other shows happening at the UTA Planetarium and ticket prices, please visit their website.
