Arlington ISD held its annual district-wide National Signing Day ceremony today for students who have signed or will sign with a college athletic program.
Nearly 70 students representing all six AISD high schools signed national letters of intent in nine different sports, as they prepare to take their athletic dreams to the next level.
AISD Interim Athletic Director Sherman Perry was the emcee for the ceremony at the Professional Development Center, which featured speeches from Superintendent Dr. Marcelo Cavazos and guest speakers Aaron Ross and Sanya Richards-Ross.
Aaron Ross is former NFL cornerback and two-time Super Bowl Champion for the New York Giants. Sanya Richards-Ross is a former Jamaican-American track and field athlete who competed internationally for the United States. She won gold in the 400 meters during the 2012 Summer Olympics.
