
The Arlington Police Department offers internships for college students interested in a career in law enforcement. Interns will have the opportunity to shadow, ride out, and learn directly from a variety of units within the department.
Eligibility
- Students must be either a Junior or Senior at an accredited university
- Interns must receive credit hours from school for the internship
- 120 hours must be completed for 3 credit hours
- 240 hours must be completed for 6 credit hours
- Hours are estimates and vary according to the university
- Student currently not on academic or scholastic probation
- No felony convictions
- Must be approved by the appropriate college intern coordinator
Application Procedure
- Send an email expressing interest in the program
- Submit a letter of recommendation from the University Internship Coordinator
- Provide college transcript
- Student will then be contacted and provided further instructions
Application Deadlines
- Fall Semester - July 1
- Summer Semester - April 1
- Spring Semester - November 1
