The Housing Rehabilitation Program helps income-qualified homeowners repair and/or rehabilitate their homes. Applicants must own and reside in the home to be repaired, and the home must be within the City limits of Arlington. For qualified homeowners, the City will fund 100% of the eligible repairs up to $24,500.

Examples of repairs are:

  • Electrical, heating, and plumbing
  • Structural such as roofs, porches, windows, doors, and foundation
  • Other repairs needed to meet City codes
  • Replacement of essential built-in appliances 

Criteria For Eligibility

Program participants must meet the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) income limits. Program participants must have a total household income, at the time of application, that does not exceed the applicable HUD Income Limits. For the Housing Rehabilitation Program, the HUD income limits are 80% of the Area Median Income.
