A permit must be issued before any work is performed that requires a permit in the City of Arlington.

Common Violations

  • Performing unpermitted electrical or plumbing work that can only be done by cutting in or removing part of a wall or ceiling
  • Removal/replacement of:
    • Interior or exterior air conditioning system
    • Heating/air ventilation system
    • Water heater
    • Exterior door or window
    • Fence
    • Roof
