Charles Hollis

Charles Hollis, affectionately referred to as “Uncle Charlie” is the recipient of the 2016 Bill McCart Volunteer of the Year award. Charlie began volunteering at Arlington Animal Services in November 2014, and immediately became a valued and treasured member of the team. Shelter manager Chris Huff stated, “He is an amazing man willing to help in every area of the shelter when volunteering.” Charlie dedicated almost 1,000 hours volunteering during the shelter’s 2015 fiscal year. With an ever ready smile, he shared that he “loves the animals and the happy faces of family members,” and “working with all of the people at the shelter.” Guests to Animal Services share fond memories of Uncle Charlie introducing them to their fur-ever pet adoption choices. Fellow volunteers and shelter staff are thankful for the opportunity of working with such a wonderful and dedicated volunteer. Congratulations Uncle Charlie!30 Seconds with Charles Hollis
