HOME WATER USAGE :: WATER CONSERVATION

CON*SER*VA*TION: careful preservation and protection; planned management of a natural resource to prevent destruction or neglect.

Conserve water in your home by:

Turning off the water while you brush your teeth.
Taking shorter showers.
Not filling the bath tub too full.
Not throwing trash in the toilet.
Never watering the grass while it’s raining.
Turning off the water while you wash your hands.
Not having "water fights" and splashing water.
Using a bucket of water to wash the car.
Not allowing water from the garden hose to run in the street.
Sharing these conservation tips with a friend.
Making sure water faucet is completely turned off after use.
Washing laundry only when you have a full load.
Repairing any faucets that have leaks.
Reminding family members to save water.
Watering the yard during the coolest part of the day.
Remembering that less frequent deep watering is more effective than frequent watering.
and remember: Don’t be a "Water Hog."
