HOME WATER USAGE
SAVING WATER OUTSIDE
Move the mouse around on the image
below and try to find areas outside your home where you can save
water...
- Sweep rather than hose off patios and
drive-ways.
- Water plants early in the morning or
late in the evening.
- Do not operate automatic sprinklers to
water grass during the rain.
- Use drip irrigation for flower beds
and shrubs.
- Select plants that are native or
adaptive to our area.
- When washing the car, use a bucket of
sudsy water to keep water use to a minimum.
- Keep a child’s pool covered when not
in use to avoid water evaporation.
