SAVING WATER OUTSIDE

• Sweep rather than hose off patios and drive-ways.
• Water plants early in the morning or late in the evening.
• Do not operate automatic sprinklers to water grass during the rain.
• Use drip irrigation for flower beds and shrubs.
• Select plants that are native or adaptive to our area.
• When washing the car, use a bucket of sudsy water to keep water use to a minimum.
• Keep a child’s pool covered when not in use to avoid water evaporation.
