TRANSPORTATION

Arlington sits between Fort Worth and Dallas at the center of the North Texas region. Whether youíre traveling by train, motorcoach, plane or car, you'll easily find your way around since we're at the crossroads of seven major interstate highways, three nearby airports and two rail facilities.

Under current state law, transportation is funded through voter approved increases in the local sales tax. While Arlington voters elected not to fund a public transit system, the City is a part of a regional coalition pursuing enhancements in transportation resources and connections to mass transit systems.
