Information about Open Enrollment for 2009 Retiree Health Benefits will be mailed in late October or early November this year, and changes will be accepted through December 5.

Please notify us immediately if you have experienced a change of address and have not already informed us.
This year retirees will only need to fill out a form if making a change.

HAVE A HAPPY RETIREMENT!

Once you retire, keeping active will keep you young. Do some sort of activity each day that you enjoy. This can be walking, talking with friends, shopping or getting involved in the community. Make time to meet new people, volunteer, start a hobby, or even get a job! Happiness usually happens when a person is doing something they enjoy.

TMRS Update
Things are changing at the Texas Municipal Retirement System. Cities and TMRS are working closely to develop strategies for future funding of the system. In Arlington, an employee taskforce has been appointed to work with city management on long-term plans for TMRS. In an effort to keep employees and retirees informed, a "TRMS Update" is being produced quarterly.
