Grants Management
develops, implements, and administers Federal and State grant funds
received by the City from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development for the:
- Provides funding for public services, economic development, public
facility improvements, code enforcement, and other revitalization
activities in the target area (see link to map below)
HOME
Investment Partnership Act Program (HOME) -
Provides affordable housing opportunities for Arlington residents,
including first time homebuyers’ assistance and the housing repair
program for low/moderate-income homeowners.
Emergency
Shelter Grant Program (ESG)
- Provides
funding for
homeless prevention, essential services for homeless persons, and
support for homeless shelter operations.

Brownfields Grant Program -
The City of Arlington has
been awarded $400,000 in grant money from the US Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) to conduct communitywide Brownfields
site assessments. As defined by the EPA, a Brownfield is "real
property, the expansion, redevelopment or reuse of which may be
complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous
substance, pollutant or contaminant."
