Emergency
Shelter Grant
The City of Arlington received $139,508 this past year from the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to fund agencies
that serve the homeless. All interested organizations responded to a
Request for Proposal (grant application) and the City Council
awarded the funds to four agencies.
The Arlington Life Shelter received a grant to cover expenses for
the operation of the shelter. The Arlington Life Shelter feeds and
provides emergency housing for homeless persons. For assistance you

The SafeHaven of Tarrant County received a grant to assist with
expenses related to the operation of their shelter. They provide
emergency assistance for victims of domestic violence. For

The Salvation Army received a grant to provide a 12 week
transitional shelter program for homeless families with children.

The Tarrant County Department of Human Services provides
rent/mortgage and/or deposit payments to families who are homeless
or facing the imminent threat of homelessness. For assistance you
