Online survey launched – To collect feedback from residents regarding the parks and recreation system, a community survey was designed to ensure that the project team gathers the input necessary to develop a master plan that is technically sound, rooted in the needs of the community and implementable. The questionnaire is a key tool for broadening participation and validating the input received via other public involvement activities. Responses will be collected through May 19, 2013.

Public Meetings Scheduled to Discuss Future of Arlington Parks - The Arlington Parks and Recreation Department (APRD) has requested the attendance of Arlington citizens at one of five public meetings, in order to update the City’s Park Recreation and Open Space (PROS) Plan.

  • Trails and Greenways
  • Forestry and Beautification
  • Recreation Trends
(dog parks, skateboard facilities, exercise stations, community gardens, etc.)

At each meeting, a short overview presentation will be held at 6:30 p.m. with an open house before and after the presentation. Please mark your calendar to attend one of the following meetings scheduled in your area (coinciding with the City’s five geographic City Council districts):
