Richard Simpson Park is located in the Central West section of
Arlington. This nine acre park on Lake Arlington was acquired on
June 1, 1969. A native and lifetime resident of Arlington, Richard
W. Simpson was a police officer on the Special Tactical Unit. As a
lake officer for 13 years, Mr. Simpson was known for his tireless
work around Lake Arlington. This park is open 24 hours daily.
