Fish Creek Park - June 7, 2008
Naturally Fun Neighborhoods took its theme of outdoor fun to Fish
Creek Park on June 7.
The inaugural event at Fish Creek Park was a huge success with well
over 500 people attending. Activities at Fish Creek were as diverse
as the groups that provided them. Fort Worth Zoo brought out exotic
animals to ogle at. Arlington Public Libraries offered a bean bag
toss with prizes and handouts for everyone. River Legacy Science
Center shed light on the world of turtles for the kids. And
Arlington Parks and Recreation set up inflatables, a fishing tank,
soccer and a boot camp. It also provided free food to all attendees.

“Boot camp” participants make their way around a cone during one
of the drills. The activity was put on to promote fitness programs
at the city’s recreation centers.

Hot dogs, snacks and drinks were provided to all attendees of
Naturally Fun Neighborhoods at Fish Creek Park. The food was
provided by Arlington Parks & Recreation.
