Arbor Day Celebration in Arlington is Wednesday, April 14
Arlington to Receive Tree City USA Award for Fifth Consecutive Year
The City of Arlington will observe Arbor Day on
Wednesday, April 14.
Beginning at 12:30 p.m., residents are invited to
join the celebration in the Elm Grove area of River Legacy Park in
north Arlington. According to event coordinator Stacy Baldwin, the
program is designed to help residents learn more about their
environment.
The event will include the Region VI Environmental
Protection Agency and approximately 100 students from Blanton
Elementary School who will each receive small Bur Oak trees and an
Arbor Day T-shirt.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Texas Forest
Service will present the City of Arlington with the Tree City USA
Award during the Arbor Day celebration.
