Browser Requirements/Monitor Settings

The City of Arlington web site is optimized to work best with Internet Explorer 5 or above, we assume full-screen browser use on a 1024x768 display with 16-bit and above color depth. If your settings are below 1024x768, you may encounter additional scroll bars. It is also assumed that JavaScript is turned on and that cookies are enabled.

Streaming Media Requirements

Streaming Media requires Microsoft's Windows Media Player 7 or higher.
Please download and install the latest version of Windows Media Player that matches your operating system.

If you are using another browser, you may be asked to download a plug-in for the Windows Media Player.

PDF files

In order to view certain documents on the City of Arlington web site, you will need a program called Acrobat Reader. This program installs a "plug-in" into your browser's plug-in folder so that your browser will automatically open up PDF (Portable Document Format) documents for you to view and/or print. If the above sample PDF document opened, you are ready for an optimized browsing of the City of Arlington web site.
