City Partners With Local Businesses for Windows of
Opportunity Project
On Saturday, Feb. 26, Home on Woodrow Street Will Get New
Windows
The City of Arlington provides critical housing services to
assist qualified homeowners. The Housing Rehabilitation
Program and Weatherization Assistance Program help
homeowners bring their dwellings up to local building
standards and improve energy efficiency.
Sometimes a house needs more repairs than can be completed
within program resources, said Interim Community Services
Director David Zappasodi.
Thanks to the generosity of two local businesses, a home at
811 Woodrow St. 76012 will receive new windows. Installation
will begin at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26.
In November, a number of weatherization improvements were
completed at the home, including the installation of new
doors, attic and wall insulations, and roof vent
replacements.
About the Windows of Opportunity Project
For the second consecutive year, Brennan Enterprises, an
Arlington remodeling company, and NT Windows, a Fort
Worth-based window manufacturer have collaborated with the
City to donate and install replacement windows in the homes
of low income homeowners.
Kerry Brennan of Brennan Enterprises and Ryon Ray from NT
Windows recently shared the good news with the homeowner,
who was thrilled that her home was selected to be a part of
the “Windows of Opportunity Project.” For information about
City of Arlington housing programs and services, visit
