Arlington Mayor is Elected President-Elect of Texas Municipal League

Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck has been elected President-Elect of the Texas Municipal League. The announcement was made today at the TML conference in Fort Worth.
He will become TML president on October 29, 2010 and serve a one-year term.

Cluck has been active in TML since his election to the Arlington City Council in 1999. He has represented Arlington on the TML Board of Directors since 2003.

TML was established in 1913 to serve the needs and advocate the interests of Texas cities. TML represents 1,112 member cities, and includes mayors, council members, commissioners, city managers, finance directors and police chiefs. In addition to member cities, TML has over 400 associate members from private sector companies, and organizations, as well as individuals who provide services to municipal government.
“As president-elect, I will continue to build on the extraordinary efforts being made to facilitate the exchange of information among Texas cities, while representing and addressing the diverse interests of Texas municipalities,” Cluck said.
