Naturally Fun Neighborhoods Comes to Carl Knox Park
The Focus is on Health and Wellness
Naturally Fun Neighborhoods is coming to Carl Knox Park in
Arlington on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The
focus of this family-fun, community connection event will be
on health and wellness with free medical services and
screenings. Carl Knox Park is located at 1200 Susan Drive.
Arlington residents will be able to access various health
and wellness services from participants such as Cook’s
Children’s Health Plan, JPS Health Network, MHMR, All Smiles
Dental, Tarrant County Immunizations, WalMart Vision and
more.
The YMCA, Santa Fe Adolescent Youth Services, Safe Haven,
Boy Scouts, Boys & Girls Club and First Tee Arlington are a
few of the social service providers who will offer parents
information about summer programs for youth.
In addition to the health and wellness opportunities,
Arlington residents can enjoy outdoor activities such as
soccer and basketball. The Home Depot will join the event
with its Kids Workshop for arts and crafts. There will be
balloon art for everyone, games for the family and music.
All in attendance will be eligible for door prizes,
according to Parks Marketing Manager Kelly Drawdy.
The Carl Knox Health and Wellness Fair is part of the Parks
and Recreation Department’s Naturally Fun Neighborhoods
program, a series of free outdoor events focused on bringing
neighborhoods and residents together in a healthy,
family-friendly environment.
Passport Arlington card holders can earn a stamp in their
