Why: To fill vacancies on city boards and commissions
About City Boards and Commissions
Members of boards and commissions assist the Mayor and City
Council and make recommendations on important general policy
matters impacting the city. Most boards and commissions
function in advisory capacities and some have final
decision-making authority. Some board positions may require
specialized training and licenses. Members are appointed by
the Mayor and City Council and serve two-year volunteer
terms. Appointments are scheduled to be made in June.

www.arlingtontx.gov/citizenboards and in the Office of
the Mayor and Council located on the third floor of City
Hall at 101 W. Abram St. For more information about the
