Pleasant Ridge Road will open from Kelly Elliott to Rush Creek Bridge
Some residential streets will continue to be closed for construction

What: The new lanes of Pleasant Ridge Road between Kelly Elliott and the Rush Creek Bridge will be opened to traffic.

When: Tuesday, March 24, 2009

Where: Pleasant Ridge Road between Kelly Elliott and Rush Creek Bridge in southwest Arlington (see attached map)

Why: Opening of a finished portion of Pleasant Ridge Road due to construction phasing.

Background

The new lanes of Pleasant Ridge Road will be open to traffic between Kelly Elliott Road and the Rush Creek Bridge on Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

However, Park Springs Boulevard will be closed at the old intersection of Pleasant Ridge Road for approximately 2 months beginning Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Park Springs Boulevard will be available to local traffic (residents) only. All thru traffic will be detoured to Kelly Elliott Road to access the new lanes of Pleasant Ridge Road.

Flower Garden Drive at Pleasant Ridge Road (Dalworthington Gardens) will also be closed during this time. Dalworthington Garden residents will be detoured to Kelly Perkins Road.

The Rush Creek Bridge is still closed and is scheduled to be completed in August 2009. The entire project from Kelly Elliott Road to Bowen Road and also Park Springs Boulevard from Pleasant Ridge Road to IH-20 is scheduled be completed by March 2010.
