City Opens Lake Arlington Richard Simpson Park Boat Ramp

Rainfall over the past few weeks has helped the water at Lake Arlington rise to a level safe for launching personal watercraft from Richard Simpson Park’s boat ramp.

The Bowman Springs Park boat ramp remains closed.

“Rain was just what the lake needed,” said Lake Arlington Supervisor Michael Debrecht. “Hopefully, water levels won’t fall again and we will be able to open the Bowman Springs boat ramp soon.”

Visitors to Lake Arlington are encouraged to stay at the northern end of the lake where the waters are deeper. The area closest to the dam provides the deepest and safest waters for our patrons and their property, Debrecht said.
