Sculpture Garden Dedication is Saturday at Meadowbrook Park
The City of Arlington will dedicate the Sculpture Garden at
Meadowbrook Park at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 20.
Meadowbrook Park is located at 1300 E. Dugan St. in east
Arlington. The program includes Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck,
District 5 City Council member Lana Wolff, Parks and Recreation
Board Chair Lynn Healy and Curt Osiek of the Arlington Sculpture
Garden Foundation. The ribbon cutting ceremony will follow with
refreshments.
The Sculpture Garden at Meadowbrook Park was designed to help
make art an intrinsic part of everyday life in Arlington. According
to the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department, the garden is
helping to revitalize the area and increase the enjoyment and use of
the city’s oldest park. Rotary Clubs of Arlington have donated more
than $60,000 towards the sculpture project and future plans for this
park include the additions of new sculptures and walkways. |
