The Call For Entries!
Martin Luther King Jr. Art and Essay Competition is Under Way

Who: Arlington Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee

What: Accepting entries for the 2009 “Sharing the Dream” Art and Essay competitions

When: Entry deadline is 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2008

Where: Open to students attending school or residing within the city limits of Arlington. Contest entry form is attached.

Why: To recognize the best in student art and literature.

U.S. Savings bonds and college scholarship dollars will be awarded to winning students whose art work and essays embody the spirit and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Judging will occur in November. Winners will be notified in December and formally recognized in January during the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Arlington MLK Sharing the Dream Celebration.
