Arlington City Council Member Helps Youth Get Ready for Class
August 18 Event Includes Free Haircuts and School Supplies

Who: District 3 City Council Member Robert Rivera

What: Fourth Annual Robert Rivera Back-2-School Barbershop Bash

When: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, in Arlington

Where: Starz Barbershop located at 3751 Matlock Road (west of Arlington Highlands)

Why: To help give Arlington and Mansfield area youth a good head start back to school with free haircuts and school supplies.

The first day back to class for Arlington and Mansfield ISD students is Monday, Aug. 25.

This event is sponsored by City Council Member Robert Rivera in a community partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas, Starz Barbershop, MPAC Consulting Group, the Arlington Xi Theta Omega Foundation of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the United Educators Association.
