District 4 Town Hall Meeting is Thursday, July 31
Topic: Regional Rail System Update
Who: City Council member Kathryn Wilemon
What: Host District 4 Town Hall Meeting
When: 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 31
Where: Arlington Fire Training Center at 5501 Ron McAndrew Drive
in Arlington
Why: To discuss the status of the regional rail system plan.
Presentation will be led by Jungus Jordan, chairperson of the
Regional Transportation Council’s Transit Subcommittee. Jordan is
also a Fort Worth City Council member. A question and answer session
will follow presentation.
Wilemon represents Council District 4, which is bound by I-20 on
the south, portions of Matlock Road, Fielder Road and Bowen Road on
the east, Lake Arlington on the west, and I-30 on the northeast.
About the Regional Transportation Council
The RTC is the independent transportation policy body of the
Metropolitan Planning Organization. It is comprised of local elected
and appointed officials, representing cities and counties throughout
the north Texas region. Arlington has two representatives on the RTC.
They are City Council members Kathryn Wilemon and Sheri Capehart.
