June 19, 2008
Warrant Roundup in Arlington Begins Monday, June 23
Arlington police officers will conduct a warrant roundup
beginning Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27 to target
offenders with outstanding warrants. Arlington Municipal Court has
an estimated 62,000 outstanding warrants.
Arlington residents with warrants are encouraged to pay fines
immediately or call 817-275-5970 for information on how to clear a
warrant.
Although teams of police officers will target residents with
Arlington Class C warrants, individuals with outstanding misdemeanor
or felony warrants from any other city our county will be subject to
arrest, according to Arlington Municipal Court Director David
Preciado.
Preciado said the City of Arlington wants residents to voluntarily
clear their warrants and avoid jail time this summer.
“Failure to appear before the court is a violation of the law,”
he said. “If you have an outstanding warrants, contact Arlington
Municipal Court and avoid arrest.”
