Arlington City Council Opens More Early Voting Locations
Early Voting Begins Monday, June 2

The Arlington City Council runoff election for At-Large Districts 6 and 7 is Saturday, June 14. Early voting begins June 2 and ends June 10.
During a special meeting on Friday, the Arlington City Council approved a resolution, which increases the number of early voting locations in the city from two to five. The locations are below:

Early Voting Locations in Arlington

 Fire Training Center, 5501 Ron McAndrew Drive
 Bob Duncan Community Center, 2800 S. Center St.
 Roquemore Elementary School, 2001 Van Buren Drive
 COA South Service Center, 1100 SW Green Oaks Blvd.
 Arlington Municipal Building (City Hall), 101 W. Abram St.

Early Voting Times and Dates

 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.- Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 6
 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Saturday, June 7
 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Sunday, June 8
 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10

Mayor Robert Cluck said three additional early voting locations will maximize the opportunity for Arlington voters to participate in the City Council runoff election.
Early voting is the process which allows voters to cast their vote by mail or in person prior to an election. The goal of early voting is to increase participation and relieve congestion at polling places on Election Day.

The candidates for At-Large District 6 are Robert Shepard and Vera McKissic. Candidates for At-Large District 7 are Michael Glaspie and Jimmy Bennett.
