PRESS RELEASES - January 2008
January 18, 2008
Arlington Reads Mysteries!
Sixth annual community-wide read begins in February
This year, “Arlington Reads” has a mystery theme. Arlington Reads is
the Arlington Public Library’s month-long reading initiative.
An essay competition, book group discussions, a forensic education
boot camp, interactive murder mystery night and free movies are just
a few of the citywide programs planned in February. Arlington Reads
is a collaborative project of the Arlington Public Library, UT
Arlington and the Arlington Independent School District.
As part of the program, “Read a Mystery” posters will be displayed
at all public libraries, recreation centers and AISD schools.
Posters are changed out each month and spotlight 12 local
celebrities and their favorite mystery books. The posters are
sponsored by the City of Arlington, the Arlington Public Library
System and the Friends of the Arlington Public Library.
Watch for a new poster each month in 2008!
