Arlington MLK Committee Announces Student Art Contest Winners
Extends Deadline for Essay Competition
Who: Arlington Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration
What: Announces winners of the Sharing the Dream Art Contest
Where: Winners will be recognized at the Sharing the Dream Banquet
on January 18.
Why: To award U.S. Savings Bonds to Arlington area youths whose
artwork best represent the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
and his movement for justice and equality.
The winning art design will appear on T-shirts and publicity
materials associated with the 2008 Arlington Martin Luther King Jr.
Celebration. All winning artwork will be on exhibit during the
holiday weekend. More than 400 pieces of artwork was submitted from
Arlington area students.

Second Place - $750 U.S. Savings Bond

Third Place - $500 U.S. Savings Bond

Essay Contest
The Arlington Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee has
extended the deadline for the Sharing the Dream Essay Contest to
November 21. Guidelines and entry form are attached. Information is
