Sewer Line Improvements Begin on North Collins Street
Revised: Motorists Should Expect Lane Reductions to Begin Aug. 3

Who: The Arlington Water Utilities Department

What: Various southbound lane closures on North Collins Street (from Sanford Street to Rogers Street.) The Water Utilities Department will be installing larger sanitary sewer pipelines in the area. Northbound left turns in this area will not be available.

When: Beginning Friday, Aug. 3. This sewer line improvement project is scheduled for completion by Friday, Aug. 20.

Where: Southbound lanes of North Collins Street (from Sanford Street to Rogers Street.) Motorists should anticipate delays due to reduction to one lane. Alternate northbound and southbound routes are Center Street and Cooper Street.

Why: To improve the sanitary sewer system and to support development in this area.

Please note: This is a revised schedule. Lane closures were rescheduled this week after the bore contractor reported difficulty with large rocks.
