Wilemon is Recognized for Her Service to Arlington’s Youth

District 4 City Council member Kathryn Wilemon has been presented an award for her service to the youth of Arlington.

Wilemon received the 2007 Silver Eagle Award from the Friends of Scouting during the Longhorn Council awards luncheon held at the First United Methodist Church in Arlington.
Her long-time support has enabled the local scouting program to continue its membership growth, expand its programs and serve 10,000 at-risk youth in our community, according to Longhorn Council Field Director Vince Dorsey.

“Kathryn Wilemon models the core values of leadership and service,” he said.
Wilemon has been a member of the Arlington City Council since 2003 and represents Council District 4, which is bound by Interstate 20 on the south, portions of Matlock Road, Fielder Road and Bowen Road on the east, Lake Arlington on the west, and Interstate 30 on the northeast.
