Responses to the Request for Proposal are Due July 12
This week, the City of Arlington extended the deadline to submit
proposals for the acquisition and relocation of free structures on
four city parcels of land. The structures include homes, garages,
sheds, and other types of miscellaneous buildings.
The City of Arlington owns the parcels of land and has plans for
future development, according to David Zappasodi, the city’s
assistant director of Community Services.
The May 31, 2007 deadline has been extended to 2 p.m. Thursday, July
12, 2007.
Interested parties may submit an application for one or all of the
available structures. Interested parties must be able to:
- Identify the specific location of owned real estate where
the structure will be relocated,
- Identify the intended use of the structure after relocation,
- Identify the name and qualifications of the company or
individual that will physically relocate the structure(s),
- Describe the time table for relocating the structure(s),
- Provide evidence of financial capacity to complete the
relocation and bring the structures into compliance with
