East Arlington Branch Library at 1624 New York Ave.
The East Arlington Branch Writers’ Group is hosting its first
author, Tim Morris, who will share some of his work and discuss the
writing process. This program is for teens and adults. Morris is
Professor of English at The University of Texas at Arlington. He was
a contributor for many years to The American Scholar, and has also
written for Raritan, Southwest Review, Topic, Gastronomica, Copia
and SportsJones. He is nonfiction editor of the journal, Aethlon.

Pajama Time: Stories and Songs
7 p.m. Tuesday, June 8 – Every second Tuesday of each month
Lake Arlington Branch Library at 4000 S.W. Green Oaks Blvd.
Children in preschool through second grade are invited to an
evening of stories, songs and fun. Children can wear their pajamas
and bring their favorite bedtime buddy.
Script Frenzy
6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 30 – Technical Session
6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 20 – Script-In
6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11 – Wrap Party
George W. Hawkes Central Library, 101 E. Abram St. - The Studio,
Lower Level
Script Frenzy is a month-long screenwriting event. The challenge:
20,000 words in 30 days, working either alone or with a partner.
While this event will be taking place worldwide this summer, come to
the Central Library to learn everything you need to know about
formatting scripts. Join in for a two-hour writing session and
celebrate after all the hard work is done. Bring your finished (or
not so finished) script/film to the Wrap Party where you can perform
a dramatic reading of your best or worst scene. (PG 13 or younger
appropriate). This program is for teens ages 12–18 and adults.
