City of Arlington Earns Vision Award for
Cowboys Stadium and Northeast Development
March 20, 2007
The City of Arlington has received recognition from the American
Subcontractors Association for the Dallas Cowboys Stadium project
and the economic development vision for northeast Arlington.
The 2006 Vision Award was presented March 8 by the North Texas
Chapter of the ASA during their 29th Annual Awards Night and Silent
Auction in Addison. The Vision Award is judged on a number of
factors, including project size, design, appeal, and community
adaptation. The nominees included Dallas’ Trinity River Corridor
Project and the Erickson Retirement Communities Project.
Mayor Robert Cluck said the awards are a tribute to the high
professional development standards being set by the Dallas Cowboys
organization and the City of Arlington.
“The stadium and all of the development activities occurring in the
northeast sector of our city are quality projects that will
positively impact the city and the entire North Texas Region for
many years to come,” he said.
Past recipients of the Vision Award have included the Dallas Fort
Worth International Airport Terminal, Gaylord Texas, Radio Shack
Corporation headquarters and the Hillwood Capital Victory Center.
