The City of Arlington will host a workshop to give the public an
opportunity to review and give input into the development of a new
Airport Master Plan. The public information workshop is 5:30 p.m.
Thursday, March 22 at the Arlington Municipal Airport, 5000 S.
Collins St.
Airport Manager Bob Porter said the Airport Master Plan is the
20-year infrastructure improvement and airside development plan. The
workshop is designed to be an open house event with exhibits and
opportunities to come and go until 7:30 p.m. Municipal Airport
consultant and staff members will be available to answer questions.
“The Master Plan will help us determine the current aviation demand
for the area and the Municipal Airport,” Porter said.
The plan will provide activity forecasts for future demands and
will help identify facility requirements to meet forecasted demands
and land development strategies. The master plan will also update
the Airport Layout Plan, which is approved by the Federal Aviation
Administration and is necessary to determine eligibility for federal
grant funds.
Phase I and Phase II Airport Master Plan draft reports are available
