Council Member Sheri Capehart to Host Town Hall Meeting
This Month’s Topics: Tierra Verde Development, Hazard Mitigation,
Juvenile Curfew

District 2 City Council member Sheri Capehart will host a town
hall meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, October 30, at Mary Moore Elementary
School. The school is located at 5500 Park Springs Blvd. in
Arlington.
The town hall meeting will give Arlington residents an
opportunity to provide input into several city issues.
Deputy City Manager Fiona Allen and Project Engineer Keith Brooks
will lead a public presentation about the city’s Hazard Mitigation
Plan. The plan is being developed to identify potential hazards in
the city, assess risks and define mitigation strategies.
The town hall meeting also includes a presentation on the
development plans for Tierra Verde. This presentation will be led by
the Community Development and Planning Department. A presentation
from the Police Department about the proposed juvenile curfew has
been added to the meeting agenda. Information about the CPaRlington
citywide health initiative will also be presented.
Capehart represents Council District 2, which includes the
portion of the city bound primarily by Interstate 20 on the north
and Matlock Road on the east. All Arlington residents are invited to
attend.
