Fall Cleanup Day in Arlington is Saturday,
Oct. 21
Three Convenient Disposal Locations Available
September 29, 2006
Fall Cleanup Day is Saturday, Oct. 21 in Arlington. From 9 a.m. to 4
p.m., Arlington residents can dispose of trash and items such as
brush, tires, furniture, carpet, lumber, appliances, auto batteries
and tires free of charge.
Materials can be taken to one of the following locations for free
disposal:
- Arlington Sanitary Landfill, 800 Mosier Valley Road
- Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, 1800 E. Lamar Blvd.
- Sam Houston High School, 2000 Sam Houston Dr.
Please note: The City of Arlington cannot accept household
hazardous waste materials such as paint, roofing materials, used
motor oil or pesticides.
Fall Cleanup Day is sponsored by the Arlington Clean Team, Arlington
Disposal Company, the City of Arlington, the Arlington Independent
School District and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.
How to Participate: Proof of Arlington residency is required.
Arlington residents should present identification such as a current
driver's license or water bill upon arrival. Contractors will not be
allowed to dispose of items.
