Largest Independence Day Parade in State is Tuesday, July 4

Thousands of spectators will line more than two miles of streets
in downtown Arlington to see marching bands, drill teams and
decorative floats when the state’s largest Independence Day Parade
begins Tuesday, July 4 in Arlington.
The 41st Annual Arlington Independence Day Parade begins at 9
a.m. Tuesday, July 4. This year’s theme is “America, The Dream Lives
On.”
Organizers are planning to execute a synchronized singing of the
National Anthem along the parade route as part of the National
Anthem Campaign. The initiative seeks to remind all Americans to
treasure the national riches and celebrate unity and value in song.
Geni Waldrop, president of the Arlington Fourth of July Parade
Association, said the parade continues to be the community highlight
of the year. There are more than 140 entries.
The Arlington Independence Day Parade is dedicated to the
following sponsors: Accent Awards, AE Petsche Co., Arlington
Independent School District, Arlington Board of Realtors, Inc., City
of Arlington, Comcast Communications, Duncan Disposal, General
Motors, Rooms to Go, Six Flags Over Texas, Star-Telegram, University
of Texas at Arlington and Westlake Ace Hardware.
