The City of Arlington will post unofficial election results at
www.ci.arlington.tx.us. Click on Election Results. According to
the City’s webmaster, a higher volume of internet traffic could cause
delays on Election Night. The results will be faxed and e-mailed to
the news media and posted on the Access Arlington Bulletin Board on
City Cable Channel 5.
Beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, the City of Arlington will
broadcast live from Council Chamber, where the results from City of
Arlington issues on the ballot will be announced by Mayor Robert
Cluck.

According to the City Secretary Barbara Heptig, election results
will be canvassed or officially certified on Tuesday, May 23. The oath
of office will be administered at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 30 in Council
Chamber.
If a runoff is necessary, the election would occur on Tuesday, June
27. A runoff occurs when a candidate does not secure a majority or
more than 50 percent of the total votes cast.
