District 2 City Council member Sheri Capehart will
host a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Tierra
Verde Clubhouse at 7005 Golf Club Dr. The town hall meeting will give
Arlington residents an opportunity to gather more information about
the May 13 Municipal and County elections.
Keith Melton, assistant director for Public Works
and Transportation, will present information about the Street
Maintenance Sales Tax program. Randall Skinner, a transportation
planner with the Tarrant County Transportation Service, will lead
discussions about the 2006 Tarrant County Bond Program. County
Commissioner Marti VanRavenswaay will also be in attendance.
Capehart represents Council District 2, which
includes the portion of the city bound primarily by Interstate 20 on
the north and Matlock Road on the east. All Arlington residents are
invited to attend.
