Volunteers at several locations throughout the
Arlington community are helping income eligible residents save money
this tax season. Through Monday, April 17, the American Association of
Retired Persons will continue to provide income tax assistance at the
following five public libraries to income-eligible workers regardless
of age:

Daily through October 15 - This tax filing deadline
extension has been granted for those displaced by hurricanes in 2005.
A Community Tax Center is open through October 15
and is providing free tax preparation services to income eligible
residents and families displaced by hurricanes. The Community Tax
Center is sponsored by Foundation Communities, a local non-profit
organization, and is one of only three sites in the Metroplex
assisting families displaced by hurricanes in 2005. The Center is
available to assist eligible persons with amended returns for those
who might not have received earned income tax credits in previous
