January 26, 2006
The City of Arlington is committed to helping
establish a community in which every youth has an opportunity to
develop and succeed.
The Arlington Alliance for Youth, organized by five
Kiwanis Clubs of Arlington, continues to award grants to nonprofit
organizations that establish community projects that benefit youth.
Grants are now available to support programs that
build relationships, provide safe places, guarantee a healthy start
and help youths gain marketable skills. These are five of America’s
Promises. To date, more than $3,000 in grants has been awarded to
nonprofit organizations serving youth in Arlington.
Grant applications can be completed online at
www.arlingtonalliance4youth.com. The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday,
Feb. 24. Winners will be notified on March 6 and awards will be
presented at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 9 during a ceremony at the
Arlington Municipal Building, 101 W. Abram St.
The Arlington Alliance for Youth is a collaborative
network of community organizations that includes the City of
Arlington, Arlington I.S.D, Council of PTAs and Arlington Kiwanis
