Fall Cleanup Day in Arlington is Saturday, Oct. 15. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Arlington residents can dispose of items such as brush, tires, furniture, carpet, lumber, appliances and auto batteries. Materials can be taken to one of the following locations for free disposal:

• Arlington Sanitary Landfill, 800 Mosier Valley Road
• Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, 1800 E. Lamar Blvd.
• Sam Houston High School, 2000 Sam Houston Dr.
• Summit High School, 1071 W. Turner Warnell Rd.
