Independence Day Closings and City Service Schedules

The Arlington Municipal Building, Municipal Office Tower
and many City of Arlington offices will be closed for Independence Day on
Monday, July 4. Regular service hours will resume Tuesday, July 5.
What’s Closed on Independence Day – Monday, July 4
- The Arlington Municipal Building (City Hall)
- The Municipal Office Tower
- Arlington Municipal Court
- George W. Hawkes Central Library and all branch libraries
- Parks and Recreation Department Administrative Office
- Handitran Office and Handitran special transportation services
- Bob Duncan Center
- Senior Recreation Centers
- Dottie Lynn Recreation Center
- Meadowbrook Recreation Center
- Hugh Smith Recreation Center
- Hugh Smith Indoor Pool (closed July 2-4 for maintenance)
- Cliff Nelson Recreation Center
- Elzie Odom Recreation Center
- No garbage or recycling pickups will occur
What’s Open on Independence Day – Monday, July 4
- All municipal golf courses
- Lake Arlington Office (opens at noon and closes at 9 p.m.)
- Arlington Tennis Center
- All outdoor municipal swimming pools (close at 7 p.m.)
